Greetings! I'm quite new here. I guess video games now somehow are playing a role like novels. I didn't know much of ethic groups in China but Imain Justina in the game Naraka: bladepoint and her pretty new outfit made me wonder what it is. Then I googled She ethnic group. Even not that informatic but my old knowledge bank is expanded with something new unconsciously. I guess developers have put their faith in it even those culture-related stuff may be seen as uncharted field to most gamers. And it reminds me of Predynastic Egypt, a game where developers have truly outdone themselves with cultural, historical, and localization designs. They did unfold and open the gate for gamers to understand prehistoric Egypt through an immersive journey in gaming. I'm not trying to say that video games should always be educative or something. just feel refreshed when seeing something like this are presented in games, a thing that may be regarded as entertaining time-waster for so long. |

Not sure if this is a good thing, though. But yes quite interesting to find out that video games are playing a role resembling educative resources. Although they were once considered merely a source of entertainment and even viewed as a hindrance to traditional education, it's hard to deny their benefits. They're enjoyable with beautiful graphics and design, and are incredibly diverse, making them a powerful tool for spreading knowledge. |

Sounds like game advertisement disguised as forum post about regular chat. |
